Anyone can do radon abatement as a side job. This guy is professional, complete, amazing, clean work and very cosmetically conscious of your house. Looked at about five other companies and he was one that really over the phone and in person was the most professional and intelligent.

The mitigation project was performed in one day, with no mess. There is no detectable noise in the house from the fan. On the exterior of the house, the mitigation site looks like an original drain spout on the house. Perfect.

We have retested the radon levels and they are now well below the EPA limit and very close to the exposure level that naturally occurs outside. We are thrilled that a known toxin has been removed from our home.

Rich explained in detail exactly what he would do and exactly what it would cost. They gave us some options to save money. They were punctual, polite, and courteous. The work was done in the time frame they talked about.

They went out of their way in service. Their quality was excellent. After testing the radon again, there were negligible amounts. They did a good job. I would highly recommend them.

Rich came out to estimate the job. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and thorough. He is great at explaining and answered all of my questions. He and his crew installed the whole system in a day. He was happy to have my son and I watch some of it and ask questions.

When we’re ready to have a backup sump pump installed, we will definitely call them! They guarantee our radon measurement to be under 2.0. We’re waiting for our new test results now.

We just moved in and wanted to install a backup sump pump. We decided to get a new main sump pump at the same time and have Accurate Safety Solutions-Accurate Radon do the complete system. They also installed a radon mitigation system prior to us moving in the home (paid for by the sellers), so we wanted them to take the extra precautions in order to ensure that both systems worked optimally.

They completely cleaned out our sump pump pit even to the point of having to break through a lot of junk concrete that someone had previously dumped in the pit. They cheerfully did the extra work and installed our system for us. Rich and his team did a great job explaining in detail how everything functions and we are very pleased with the installation job.

Everyone from Accurate was prompt, courteous, and very clear in their explanations. They worked very hard to make sure that things were done right.

We had Radon numbers of 26 in our basement; Accurate sealed the sump pump and installed a sub slab depressurization system. Two separate tests then revealed numbers of only .5, well below the 4 pCi/L threshold value.

Very professional, estimate was thorough and was explained well. Work done on the day was punctual and neat. System is operating well.

He did a very quality job on the installation and had great follow up. We were in the midst of a terrible snow storm and he shoveled our driveway and the neighbor’s, just so he could get his truck in the driveway. He really went above and beyond!!

Rich and his two young employees were all very polite and professional and went straight to work.

In my house, they drilled a hole in the basement floor and also inserted a suction pipe through the wall to access space under a slab. They routed PVC pipes above two closets and out the other side of my house near the sump pump. This required cutting open the closet ceilings. (I knew about this beforehand.) They installed a motor on the outside of the house and an “upspout” that went 12″ above my roofline.

They “reworked” my sump pump by straightening out some crooked pipes and attached a pipe to the wall so it wouldn’t shake loose. They put a new cover on the sump pump and sealed it.

Rich even washed and painted a section on the outside of the house that was previously covered by a downspout! (I just had new gutters installed.)

He went over instructions with me at the end of the project. Rich is very skilled at understanding the ‘systems’ in a house and what needs to be done to reduce radon levels.

This has been the most positive contractor experience I have had in my 12 years of owning this house. And now, I feel so much better about living here with my family.

Rich came out and did a comprehensive inspection, including all maintenance work. His test of the radon fan showed that it was degrading, so he replaced the fan as part of the warranty at no extra charge. This service is highly recommended because of the yearly inspection and warranty.
 
Rich installed the system for us in 2006 and has been punctual in yearly maintenance. He’s caught a few items at no charge that needed replacing. His work is meticulous, not at all rushed, and his explanations are clear and detailed.

Rich initially installed our radon system back in June of 2009 and did a phenomenal job. He was incredibly responsive, gave me a very fair quote, took the time to explain to me what he was doing during the install, answered all of my questions thoroughly, and had great follow up afterwards. The system worked great and brought our radon reading down from over 10 pCi/L to less than 0.5 pCi/L.

Then in January when we were experiencing long stretches of sub zero temperatures our system unexpectedly froze up. I emailed Rich and, true to form, he responded right away and scheduled one of his workers (Steve) to come out the very next day. Rich called me again the next morning before Steve arrived and went over my options, again patiently and thoroughly answering all of my questions. We ended up swapping our existing fan motor for a larger one, which Rich did not charge us for (he did not charge us for the service call either).

Since the swap we have had no further issues and our system monitor is showing increased efficiency. We have recommend Rich to all of our friends and we plan on having him install our back up sump pump in the fall.

You won’t go wrong with Accurate Safety Solutions-Accurate Radon.  They do what they say they are going to do, when they say they are going to do it, and at a reasonable price.

Accurate Safety Solutions-Accurate Radon installed a sub-slab suction & crawlspace membrane radon mitigation system, sealed floor cracks, waterproofed with epoxy injection 4 floor to ceiling wall cracks and 2 wall deformities.

The waterproofing solved my seepage problem and was very reasonably priced. The Radon mitigation system was complicated by the configuration of the basement/crawlspace but ultimately the radon level was lowered below 1.0 and air quality of the basement was much improved.

I think the results, price, and breadth of services would be very difficult to find elsewhere.

From the start, we were impressed with Rich and his company. He came to our home to give a detailed explanation of his company exceptional warranty, and how they achieved such low radon levels. He answered ALL the questions we had re: radon and mitigation. And we had a lot of questions. In addition, my husband (who has an environmental background) wanted the system to be installed a very specific way, Rich was able to accommodate my husband’s requests and went above and beyond what was asked of him.

The electrical system in our home we recently purchased (built in the 70’s) was a bit mixed up (to say the least) and it took more time than expected, yet Rich never complained to us, nor did he “charge” us more for the extra time he had to spend on the job.

The entire team that worked with Rich was professional, polite and also answered any questions we had. I was at home all day with the entire team and felt as though they were very thorough and took their time to insure the job was done 100%! We were completely happy with the job and will recommend Accurate Safety Solutions-Accurate Radon to our friends and neighbors.

My wife and I have used Rich for both our current house and previous house having radon systems installed in both, and a new main sump pump and back up sump pump installed in our current home. Additionally, other family members have used him as well.

It went extremely well. Richard was terrific. My home is a 4,500 square foot ranch home with a 3 full basements (2 additions) under the entire home. My radon level was above 4.0. Richard came to my home, designed a system and gave me the cost estimate. His crew came in and did the initial job. My levels were reduced to .9 to 3.3 in different portions of my basement.

Richard came out and increased the size of my suction pumps. The levels dropped to .7 to 3.2. Richard came in and designed and installed some additions to the system. My levels dropped to .9 to 1.2.

This was all done at NO additional cost to me – Richard guaranteed that he would get the levels down to less than 2.0 for the original cost estimate. Its rare today, to find a contractor that really backs up their promises with action.
